Customer Relationship Management and e-business are some of the latest business developments that have forced us to start paying more attention to the overall architecture of our IT systems. Lack of integration, lack of reliability, redundant and inconsistent business logic, and designs that won't scale are some of the problems that may suddenly become very visible.
A fairly small upfront investment in a well designed and documented architecture will help you derive business value from your CRM systems in the fastest possible way, while at the same time minimize the risk of making costly mistakes in the implementation.
In this talk, Jonas will present some of the frameworks and principles that he has successfully employed while developing the CRM architecture for several large corporations. He will also point out some of the common traps and mistakes that many organizations have unwittingly fallen into. |

| Jonas Berlin, Ph. D. consults in the architecture and design of CRM, marketing automation, and business intelligence systems. Before working as an independent consultant Jonas was the chief architect and director of enterprise architecture at DiaLogos Inc, a consulting company specializing in business and systems architecture for marketing organizations. Jonas has fifteen years experience designing and implementing business intelligence systems and other data intensive applications, and ten years experience designing and implementing distributed computing systems. |

Meetings at The Hartford
This COOUG Meeting will be held in the Wallace Stevens Theatre
in the Hartford Insurance Tower lobby, located at Cogswell Street and Asylum Avenue in Hartford. The Hartford complex has
a guard entrance on Asylum Ave, where you can get further directions. You should stop and
ask the guard for the ramp garage. The tower building entrance is opposite the garage.
Do not park in "visitors" because it is locked at night.
