About This Session: Many clients
demand fast results. New
methodologies, or any methodology, may create worry about
deliverables that won't be useful except for supporting that
methodology.
Can a Business Rules methodology be tailored to demonstrate its
usefulness quickly? Could a quick, initial pass through a business
process using Business Rules methodology generate usable products?
What is essential, what can be pared down and what eliminated in a
first pass or iteration through rule discovery? Will an iterative
concept be accepted? How do you manage time boxing and the worry of
"when will we be done?" What are the risks and rewards of such an
approach?
This presentation, based on experience at customer sites, addresses
these questions. A comparison is made to other methodologies that
promise quick results. The discussion takes place within the
context
of training business analysts as well as creating buy-in by the rules
project stakeholders.
